I'm Sophie Maslow's daughter and was on the panel last week. I love your post and am so glad you enjoyed the performance. Just wanted to mention that excerpts from "Folksay" were performed last Friday at the "Y" - the entire dance is at least twice as long. My mother assembled the excerpts in the 1990's because some presenters did not have enough time to present the entire piece. Think my mother did a great job of assembling the excerpts so that audiences could appreciate the choreographic intent of the work.
